MLB: National League Power Rankings (June 21) Stuck

All stats and records used are as of the games ending on June 20, 2012. The ranking in parenthesis reflects last weeks rank.

1. (1) Los Angeles Dodgers (42-27)
Offensive failures: Dodgers have scored three runs in their last three games. Have you looked at this lineup lately? Still overachieving.

2. (2) Washington Nationals (39-27)
Number two? C'mon, that's a clown ranking, bro. A good week by the Nats and another .500 week by the Dodgers will put WAS in the number one spot.

3. (4) Cincinnati Reds (38-30)
The Reds maintain a 2 1/2 game lead over Pittsburgh in the NL Central even though they have lost three in a row.

4. (3) Atlanta Braves (37-32)
Losers of seven of their last 10, Atlanta now heads to Boston to face a team that has won four straight.

5. (5) San Francisco Giants (38-32)
San Francisco makes more errors than anybody else in the NL, but they are top five in team ERA (3.48) and batting average (.262).

6. (6) New York Mets (38-32)
R.A. Dickey now has everyone's attention. He has already matched his career high in wins with 11.

7. (7) St. Louis Cardinals (35-34)
Cardinals lead the NL in batting average by nearly 10 points (.275). Also have a staggering +52 run differential (best in NL).

8. (8) Pittsburgh Pirates (35-32)
Pirates are hanging in there, but they will need to start hitting more consistently (tied for last in NL batting average) to avoid a collapse.

9. (10) Milwaukee Brewers (32-37)
Brewers have been absolutely average this year. One would expect the Reds or Cards to get streaky soon. At 6 1/2 games back already, Milwaukee needs to get it going.

10. (11) Philadelphia Phillies (33-37)
Last place in the NL East. Philly fans are losing their minds.

11. (12) Arizona Diamondbacks (34-35)
Of all the teams chasing the Dodgers in the NL West, I expect Arizona to get closest. Kirk Gibson is that good of a manager.

12. (9) Miami Marlins (33-35)
Each team in the NL East has a run differential near even or above. Except for Miami (-59). Ozzie Guillen said he will drink seven beers and take a sleeping pill after their last beating against Boston.

13. (13) Houston Astros (28-41)
Astros are only 9-25 on the road. They have lost seven of their last 10. Chance to get things going with Cleveland and San Diego coming to "The Juice".

14. (15) Chicago Cubs (24-45)
Cubs move up a spot only because the Rockies have been so bad. How long can Soriano keep up the hitting (13 HR, 43 RBI).

15. (14) Colorado Rockies (25-42)
Rockies are free-falling. They've lost 12 of their last 13 and will be traveling to face the Rangers for three, and back home against the Nats for four. This could get really, really bad.

16. (16) San Diego Padres (24-46)
Worst record in baseball and nearly 20 games out of first place. Petco Park still just as full (59%) as Tampa Bay's contending team (58.5%)
